Wrigley On The Way

Wrigley On The Way

While driving to a party in Downtown Chicago, my sister and I passed the Wrigley Building. As we were approaching the glowing clock tower, we were stopped at a red light. Yes, I leaned as far out of the car window as I possibly could to capture this image. It just seemed safer than hopping out of the car and setting up a tripod in the middle of the street. I did have to wait a while for the passing pedestrians to clear the way, but I really like how the remaining few help to frame the final image. If you look to the sky, you can see the beginnings of some snow flurries. The snow didn't last long or stick, and it would switch to rain every so often, but there was snow off and on throughout the evening, which was an extra special treat for this Arizona girl.

Built in the 1920's, the Wrigley Building was constructed for the corporate headquarters of the Wrigley Company. It is located on Michigan Ave. in Chicago, Illinois., by the Tribune Tower and Trump Tower. on the Magnificent Mile.
