Cypress Reflections

Cypress Reflections

A beautiful day on Lake Bistineau in Louisiana. These cypress trees dwell in the murky waters of the swampy lake outskirts. The lake is home to many fish, turtles, frogs, water snakes and even alligators. Fortunately, we didn't see any gators, normally, I'd love to see one, but I had all of my kids with me when we visited and I'm not sure I'd have been brave enough to continue on in the canoes filled with little ones with a hungry looking alligator nearby. We did see a few extremely long water snakes and I was grateful that we only noticed them as we were leaving.

I've processed this image to mimic the look of hand-tinted infrared film, a media that I have loved for years.
