I happened to visit the Chinese Garden at the Huntington Library in Pasadena, California at just the right time to watch this man feeding the koi. His arm movements were slow and methodical, as he reached into his feed bucket and gently scattered the delicacies onto the water for the fish.

This is a newer, more painterly version of the image. I still love the original, but wanted to play with blending some of the colors. Which do you prefer?
