I captured this image while on a family walk one evening. Tempe Town Lake is a beautiful place for a stroll, especially at dusk when the sun is going down and the colors of the Arizona sunset are reflecting off of the lake, office buildings and nearby water elements. The night was warm, yet not hot, and the only thing that made it less than perfect was the swarm of gnats that collected and would not budge from above my son's stroller that I happened to be pushing. The gnats didn't conglomerate anywhere else except above the stroller, so as I walked, I was constantly fanning them away before they ended up my mouth or nose. I never did figure out why they were so fond of the baby's transportation that evening, nor did I come up with a way to bring the stroller along comfortably without the swarm of gnats being ever in front of my face. Pulling it did not work. Aside from my bought with the gnats, the walk was wonderful. Filled with light, color and the sound of my kids racing and laughing as they sped by on a scooter or splashed their hands in a flowing fountain.
