I love the intricacies in leaves and how you can see each tiny vein. There is something so beautiful about even a fallen leaf, especially when it has been encased in ice. If you look closely at this image, you will see tiny air bubbles, frozen in time, as they rose to the top of the puddle, creating long stick like trails. They look like tiny worms rising to the surface of the water for a breath of air. This ice has captured the perfect specimen for a photograph and although I am pretty sure the leaf floated freely only hours after I took the picture, the combination of the ice and camera leaves this moment frozen in time forever, or at least as long as this file exists. I hope you enjoy the beauty of this lone leaf as much as I do.
