Cook's Window

While on a missions trip to New Zealand, we had the opportunity to stay with a wonderful couple. This is their guest bathroom. I loved the light shining in from the window facing their garden. In New Zealand there are two faucets on the sink, one for hot and one for cold. I was either burning or freezing my hands every time I went to wash them. The Cook's finally taught me the secret. You fill the basin with some hot and cold water to make it the perfect temperature to wash. Simple, I know, but I wouldn't have thought of it on my own.

This image was taken on black and white infrared film. It's that film that gives it the deep film grain texture and the almost glowing white wherever there is greenery. I have colored the image using Photoshop.

This is an ink jet printed on watercolor paper and is mounted on gator board. It is complete with a wire hanger on the back and ready to hang on the wall of your choice.

It should be hung in a room with no direct sun to prevent fading. It can not get wet or hung in a room where there is a lot of moisture (like a bathroom, ironically). If you frame it, it would be wise to use UV protective glass. There is a small amount of damage at the corners and a couple of scuff marks on the print, as well as a scratch. The price has been adjusted accordingly.
