BarrenTreeCR
This barren tree stood alone at the top of a rise between the street and a Lake Michigan beach in Chicago. Although it doesn't look very cold, this was a COLD day. My daughter got out of the car, walked as far as this tree and came running back to the heated car where she waited while I took more pictures. The wind coming off of the lake was a bit more than her little Arizona body could handle. It was almost more than I wanted to handle, but it was my last morning in Chicago and I was determined to take pictures. I love the way this little tree stood proudly on this little hill. It was still young and short and yet it remained un-bent by the wind.
