Huntington Fountain

This fountain stands proudly at the entrance to the Huntington Museum in Pasadena, California. It flows and gurgles and spills over it's edge into a pool beneath where wishes are kept in the form of pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters. I was able to spend a little bit of extra time with this fountain on one Art History trip while we were waiting for the rest of the group. I can't remember now if we were going or coming, I do remember that I enjoyed taking picture after picture of this lovely fountain, as I explored different angles and shutter speeds. I'll admit, whenever there is flowing water, I just can't resist taking at least a couple of images with a slower shutter speed to soften the look of the water and illustrate just a touch of time passing. This image was originally taken on black and whit infrared film and that is why it has that great, chunky film grain if you look close. That is also why, any of the plants that are normally green in color have a white glow to them. I have "hand-colored" this image in Photoshop and perhaps, I've added just a bit more than color.br/br/br/Frame size 25.25" x 21.25"br/$200.00br/br/br/Buyer pays shipping.
